Tracer AN Series (10~40A) MPPT Charge Controller
With an LCD display and RS485 communication port.
Tracer-AN(10A~40A)series charge controller adopts MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking)technology. In any situation, it can track the maximum power point (MPP) of the solar array and obtain the maximum solar energy rapidly and accurately. It can generate up to 30% more power compared with the PWM charge controller. This series can accept max.100V Voc and work with the solar panels which are designed for on-grid applications. The multi-functional LCD displays the system status vividly.

It is required to connect the battery first, if the battery polarity is reversed in this step, the controller has the protection and would not be damaged. But if the user connects the PV first and then, unfortunately, connects the battery polarity reversed, the controller would be damaged. This is caused by lithium battery characteristics.

Negative battery current means battery is discharging, this could happen when no PV or PV power is not enough to power the loads.

The display cannot be seen when mounted anywhere below eye level.
No readout in Watts provided. requires math!

I bought this on Amazon with the MT50 remote display. We have camped once for 4 days so far. The charge controller worked very well. As a previous reviewer said the display on the charge controller is limited but the MT50 gives much more information making the system much nicer.

Bought new end jan 2023,lasted less than 2 months.Set up was One 380w solar panel,12v gel battery and one small 12v water pump drawing 4 amps.Cooked the battery. Then ran just of the pvc, dropping in and out before finally stopping
all installed by licensed electrician. Not sure if its just bad luck or sub quality controller

Gracias
chenyaohua@epever.com –
Hello sir, we suppose it might be because the BMS protection of the battery may have been triggered, so please try to use the battery charger to charge until the battery voltage approaches 10V, then the controller can re-charge battery.
Please check your email, our technical support team sent you a more detailed reply. Thank you.
